Important meeting to discuss plans for the mountain bike trails at Forest Ridge park. Make sure your input is heard, put this one on your calendar.

The workshop will be at the Walnut Creek Wetland center the evening of June 5, 5-7pm 2012 which is at 950 Peterson Street, Raleigh, NC 27610

The City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department will host a mountain bike cycling workshop for Forest Ridge Park to take comments and suggestions for proposed sustainable trails to be built using Recreational Trail Grant funds. In August of 2011, the City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department was awarded a Recreational Trails Grant in the amount of $75,000 to be used for the design and construction of mountain bike trails on the Forest Ridge Park site. The park site is owned by the Army Corps and managed by the State of North Carolina. The format for the workshop is informal and people are encouraged to come and go as they please and learn about what trails may be built on the federally owned park site.
