Wheely Phat Bike Bike Raffle

Triangle Off Road Cyclists and Cycling Spoken Here are proud to announce the "Wheely Phat Bike Raffle" to raise funds for Trips For Kids - Triangle. The drawing offers cycling enthusiasts the chance to win a brand new BMC TrailFox 2 full suspension bicycle, retailed at over $2,300.

Cycling Spoken Here will provide a correctly size bike to the winner of the raffle.

All proceeds will donated to Trips For Kids - Triangle chapter.

Trips For Kids - Triangle exists to give disadvantaged urban children the opportunity to experience and learn about the natural beauty of North Carolina from the seat of a mountain bike.

The official drawing will be Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 1:00pm during the "Wheely Phat Bike Event" at Lake Crabtree. Ticket holders not need to be present to win.

TORC is guiding rides at the 2008 Walk/Run/Bike for Umstead on April 19th. Register to ride on the Umstead Coalition web site or contact Mark Palmeri to volunteer.

Spring MTB Skills Clinic

Triangle Off Road Cyclists are proud to present the 2008 Spring Mountain Bike Skills Clinic at Harris Lake County Park on April 12, 2008 starting at 10:00am. Registration begins at 9:30am.

This clinic is an all ages/all skill level event open to the public. We will cover bike/helmet safety, basic maintenance and trail riding skills.

The Triangle chapter of Trips for Kids will be joining us for this event. They are expecting to bring at least 8 kids.

We will provide lunch for all clinic participants.

Local TORC member Wins Bike from Subaru/SORBA

Darren May of Subaru of America presents local TORC member Brian Williford a new Kona King Kikapu Mountain Bike. SORBA members filled out a ballot during Subaru Tour de SORBA events to be eligible for the drawing. Congratulations, Brian!
