Our 1st Annual Fat Tire Festival was a huge success. We had around 300 people come by over the day to ride, watch and talk to other MTB folks. Our target audience was the general public and new riders. We had booths from the Spin Cycle, REI, All Star, the Bicycle Chain and others. A lot of riders participated in trail rides in the morning. Following the rides, several of TORC's freeride specialists erected some ramps and put on some great demos of bikes in flight. And for the youngest kids too young to do a trail ride we had some short course kids events to let them try some obstacles or try to go fast. The weather was great and people were enthusiastic about the give away items (swag) and fine food. Plans for an even bigger FT Festival next year are underway. Mark your calendar for June 9, 2007.
