WE LOVE OFF ROAD CYCLING! And we put on a fun festival to celebrate mountain biking every year, usually in the fall. Last year, TORCFest was held at Briar Chapel’s Great Meadow Park, on October 13, 2019. The date has not been selected yet for TORCFest 2020 but stay tuned! We’ll update this page and post the details on our meetup page as soon as we know the deal.

What is TORCFest?

It’s open to the public, family friendly, and admission is FREE! There’s something for everyone. Check out the details from last year’s celebration below to get an idea.

TORCFest is put on entirely by amazing volunteers. We are always looking for more volunteers to make events like this happen.

Gear Drive

Do you have a bag full of saddles, box full of pedals, a bin full of cranks, or a few old bikes that you no longer need? Bring them to TORCFest to donate to The ReCYCLEry of Carrboro. The ReCYCLEry is a non-profit that teaches bicycle repair and maintenance and allows community members to earn their bikes! You’ll clear out valuable space and contribute to a great cause.

Previous Year Race Results and Photos

TORCFest started out as the Fat Tire Festival back in 2014. Part of the festival was a race, and we had the race portion up until 2017. Starting in 2018, we dropped the race to allow us to focus on all the other fun we had planned.
