Why should you join TORC?

We are a volunteer run nonprofit, but even with free labor, building and maintaining trails requires funding. Most of our funding comes from people like you.

Goes to the Trails

92% of our funding is needed for local trail building and maintenance.

Comes from You!

74% of our funding comes from memberships, race entry fees, and donations.

Join TORC and Help Us!

Join TORC for only $39 a year!

Pressing the join button above will take you to TORC’s page on IMBA.com where you can sign up. This is because TORC is the Triangle area chapter of the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA), which in turn is a region of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA). When you join TORC you become a member of all three of these organizations at once, supporting mountain biking on a local, regional, and international level.

Yeah, that’s right, it’s a three-fer! Plus you can get a free magazine subscription. And if you join yearly at $50 or higher, or choose a monthly auto-renew membership, you can score a custom pair of IMBA socks, some MTB swag for your feet.

Not the joining type? No problem!

You can help us by volunteering your time. We can always use more help on trail workdays. And there are other ways you can get involved. You can find them on our meetup page.

You may also consider making a completely tax deductible donation to TORC, in a few different ways.

Pro tip: does your workplace match your donations?

Some TORC History

Prior to TORC’s formation, the Triangle’s mountain bike community was served by individual mountain bike clubs whose focus was limited to a specific trail network. TORC was formed in August 2005 to unify the region’s smaller clubs into a stronger voice for local mountain bikers.

Since then, TORC has become a respected advocate for better green space planning in the Triangle. We have over 5,000 members registered on meetup, where we organize events like group rides, work days, and races.
